Gavin's Stuff

A collection of thoughts exceeding 140 characters

Every time I load Google.com I think SENSORY OVERLOAD. Sure, everyone likes primary colors, but did they have to use *all* of them? I like Bing, but they have the audacity - nay, the IMPERTINANCE - to display a random picture, usually featuring literally MILLIONS of colors. I don’t want to look at stuff, I want to use my eyes as little as possible until I get where I need to go.

Well, no longer will you have to worry about all of the visual chaff these search engines pile on, like toddlers leaving their toys strewn about the floor. Now there's SearchPrompt. It's powered by Bing, but you won't find a single non-crucial element. All of the pictures, buttons, widgets, toys, categories, knicknacks and whosewhatsits have been removed, and I do mean everything. Even the search bar has been eliminated. Here's an actual screenshot:

That's right: all you get is a blinking cursor, and that's all you need. Start typing, and the results load on each key press, which is faster than either Google OR Bing. You don't even have to hit 'Enter'. I challenge you to make a simpler search engine.

Lol, never thought I’d hear someone say that the GOOGLE homepage is too complex. Well done, though. Where’s our 3 Random things website?

I love it! Now, can you provide a feature that types what I’m thinking? I don’t like to use my hands until I get where I need to go.
